Arable Labs Inc seeks Principal Engineer – Back End for its San Francisco, CA office to Build distributed, robust and scalable software in primarily Python and PostgreSQL deployed in AWS. Construct a data pipeline from data streaming from our device and processing it through the calibration and aggregation processes, finally landing in our backend database system. Create APIs to better serve our data science team as well as our end. Design and implement a cloud infrastructure for hosting our application.  Must have Bachelor’s in Comp Sci, Engineering, Info Systems or related & 8 yrs of work exp as software engineer or related occupation. Must have at least 3 years of exp 1) creating Rest APIs and microservices development using web frameworks including Flask, SpringBoot, Node.js; 2) building data pipelines handling streaming data using distributed map/reduce and message queuing; 3) relational databases and NoSQL databases and 4) public/private cloud infrastructure management utilizing an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodology using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
